Simple Ideas For That Special Touch
So, you're on a budget and want to stage your home to get ready to sell.
There are many, many things you should do, like de-clutter and remove as many personal items as you can. You want the potential new buyers to picture themselves there.
With that being said, there may be some blank spaces that you think need to be filled with a decorative piece.
USE UP THAT PAINT
Like me, you may have plenty of left over paint from other craft projects, taking up space in a cabinet. Over the weekend, I went to my local craft store and bought unfinished birdhouses for $5 a piece. I splashed on some colorful paint, hung them outside for instant curb appeal. They would look just as good inside on a mantle to fill that empty spot. You may also find a cool candle holder or trinket at your local Goodwill Store that just needs an updated coat of paint. There are many videos online for different painting techniques if you really want to be creative.
What a fun, inexpensive way to help create that feeling you're looking for when selling. Even if you plan on staying put, this is a great way to use up that paint, make room in your cabinet and have a little piece of art reflecting your taste and style. Have fun!
