Just The Right Amount Of Scary

Image titleDid you avoid the "scariest" front porches?

How a person decorates the outside of their home for Halloween runs from nothing to the most elaborate, scariest house on the block.

I remember as a kid, avoiding the scariest.  Let's face it, I was participating for the candy haul at the end of the night, not to be riddled with nightmares for the next week.   The creepy factor was just something I had to endure.  But hey, that's just me.  I still avoid scary movies, haunted houses and the paranormal.

So I really liked this idea for decorations in the picture to the left.  To me it's just right.  A bit creepy with the skeleton parts and pieces scattered around. Yet there is that, inviting, well lit pathway the door.  Of course, pumpkins are a staple of  Halloween decor.

To amp up the scary, but still keep this little kid friendly, have some howls or spooky music playing and add a fog machine.

Hope everyone has a safe, fun and happy Halloween!
